Children’s Therapy

Caring for families.

Here are Restoration, we are passionate about providing a space for all people of all ages to become the men and women they were created to be, and the young are no exception to that. We offer two different types of therapy for children designed to build stronger relationships between parents and children and to support children as they grow and mature throughout different developmental levels.

“Toys are children's words and play is their language.”

Child-Centered Therapy

Play therapy utilizes toys and play to allow a child to work through emotions, trauma, life stressors and other problems.

During the ages of 2 through 11, as children gradually become able to process language, play is viewed as the most natural way of communicating. Because children at this stage in life still may be unable to think abstractly or express certain emotions, the concrete aspects of play allow them to communicate and process things in a more natural way. Play allows children to cope, to make sense of life, and exert control in a world in which they often do not have control. All of these aspects of play are integrated in play therapy, as they are greatly therapeutic and help children heal.
